Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

I can only hope authorities are continuing to look for the runaway driver here. Even weeks or months after an accident, continuing to put out information about the accident can help yield results. If authorities still don’t know who was involved here, someone in the community may be able to connect new dots that lead to an arrest or at least a name. That’s why it can be frustrating when hit-and-runs are brushed aside as a low priority. The sooner authorities work to preserve evidence and put it out to the community, the more likely it is they can reach a resolution.
