Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It’s not clear if authorities made any progress behind the scenes here. If not, there could still be important evidence around to help ensure there’s accountability for all of this.
There may have been nearby homes or businesses that caught the incident on camera. Someone may have witnessed the crash but hasn’t come forward yet. Someone in the community may know someone who was in an accident around when this accident occurred.
Ultimately, the public is a vital tool available to the authorities after hit-and-runs. It’s important they utilize that tool as much as possible. The sooner that happens, the sooner victims and families can see some accountability for what happened to them.
