With a hit-and-run, one of the most important steps authorities can take is to make as much information public as possible. Doing so may lead to someone in the community connecting dots and providing new information that helps authorities identify a suspect. It could also be there are nearby residences or businesses with security cameras authorities have yet to check. If property owners in the area take some initiative, they, too, may be able to help the victim’s loved ones get the answers they deserve.
