Accident Report

March 20, 2026, a pedestrian was injured following a car accident that happened around 10:12 p.m. on US Highway 175.

According to initial details about the accident, it happened along southeast lanes of the highway at Kleberg Road, just off the I-20 interchange.

Authorities said that a 34-year-old woman was on foot in the area of southeast lanes of US 175. She was in the area of an unoccupied Ford F-150. In events unclear, a Dodge Ram 1500 and a Honda Accord struck the woman.

Due to the accident, the pedestrian had serious injuries. Authorities reported no other injuries. Right now, additional details about the accident are unavailable.

How Did This Accident Occur?

A lot of the time, accidents like this just involve pedestrians walking on or crossing roads where they shouldn’t be. Perhaps something like that happened here. But with the woman apparently being near a parked vehicle, that raises potential extenuating possible factors. Was there some kind of emergency going on? Was the woman standing next to the vehicle with its flashers on? Was the woman trying to wave down passing vehicles? Just because someone is on foot on a highway does not automatically mean they’ve done something wrong. It’s important to focus on the evidence so there can be a proper explanation of what happened and how (if at all) it could have been avoided.
