Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

If authorities located the driver involved here, did they simply file charges for the hit-and-run, or did they actually dig into why the driver fled the scene? A lot of the time, there’s something specific that driver wanted to hide, such as drunk driving or warrants. Ultimately, those involved in an accident deserve to know everything was addressed thoroughly. If authorities moved on too quickly, there could still be more to the story.
