How Did This Accident Occur?

When it comes to pedestrian accidents that happen on freeways, most people tend to be hyper focused the question of why the pedestrian was in such a dangerous area. However, I hope the investigators don’t make that mistake. There are a plethora of other factors that should be considered in these types of accidents. Was speed a factor? What about distraction? Cellphone use or even something as simple as glancing down to change the music on the car radio could be enough to take attention away from where it should have been: the roadway. Hopefully the investigators—whether the authorities or a third party—are being thorough and openminded enough to get to the bottom of it. After all, surface-level investigation won’t provide the kinds of answers that the love one’s left behind by the victim deserve.
