July 23, 2026, a man sustained injuries following a car versus pedestrian accident around 9:38 p.m. along Laramie Street.
According to officials, the collision happened along Laramie Street off Old Humble Road, north of Houston.

How Did This Accident Occur?
With any nighttime pedestrian accident, a primary concern will be visibility and whether or not the pedestrian was reasonably avoidable. Something to consider, though, is this was on a neighborhood street. Even at night, it’s reasonable for drivers to expect there may be people in the road. So, investigators have to reconstruct the events leading to the accident to see if the driver was taking enough care to avoid the accident.
One thing that could help here is if any nearby homes had cameras. These days, a lot of folks have security systems and doorbell cams. If one of them caught the incident on video, that could go a long way in explaining what happened here. Have authorities looked into that?
