How Did This Accident Occur?

A lot of folks assume that a pedestrian hit in the roadway at night was in the road when or where they shouldn’t have been. But that’s not always true, and it’s important that investigations consider other possibilities. Was the driver going too fast? Were they on their phone? Was alcohol a factor? Is there an issue with lighting or signage in this area? Likely or not, these factors matter. either authorities can show they’re considering these possible factors, or steps need to be taken to pick up where they fell short.
