How Did This Accident Occur?
People tend to assume that when a vehicle hits a pedestrian on the interstate, it’s automatically the pedestrian’s fault. That’s not really true, though it is often true. However, there could always be extenuating circumstances to consider. And that isn’t necessarily to say the driver could be responsible, either. For example, what if the victim was experiencing a medical episode of some kind? I’ve seen accidents where someone gets into the roadway without ever realizing where they are. It wouldn’t really be fair to just write that person off as reckless when something unusual was going on. That’s why it’s best to ensure there are thorough investigations that consider all possibilities. Hopefully authorities have done that here.
Did anyone see anything on this stretch of road prior to the accident? Let me know in the comments if so.
