Del Rio, TX — November 26, 2023, one person was injured in a pedestrian car accident shortly after 2:00 in the morning along Spur 239.
A Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Spur 239 about half a mile north of the Alderete Lane intersection when the accident took place.
A group of people were allegedly walking on the sidewalk of International Bridge when, for unknown reasons, an 18-year-old male left the sidewalk, entering the lane of traffic at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the pedestrian and the northbound Charger. The pedestrian reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries due to the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. There were no other injuries reported.
