Accident Report

June 27, 2026, one person was injured as the result of a car versus pedestrian accident at around 9:24 p.m. along University Avenue.

Preliminary statements on the accident say that it happened off the corner of University Avenue and Railroad Avenue, just east of the San Gabriel River bridge.

According to officials, a 50-year-old man was on foot at the time when a westbound Mazda struck him. Due to this, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries.

Most people think pedestrian accidents just come down to who had the right-of-way. That’s often true, but it’s important that investigations are a lot more thorough than that.
