Harris County, TX — September 26, 2025, one person was injured as the result of a car versus pedestrian accident around midnight on Tomball Parkway.
Initial details about the accident say that it happened in the area of the Tomball Parkway and Old Bammel N. Houston Road intersection.
Investigators said that a 48-year-old man was walking at the time. Meanwhile, a Ford Explorer was going southeast along the roadway. Doing so, the vehicle struck the man along the roadway. Due to this, the pedestrian was seriously injured.

People sometimes assume pedestrian accidents all come down to who had the right-of-way. Things aren’t always so simple. After all, in an example where a driver is being reckless, and they fail to avoid someone who is clearly visible and avoidable, they wouldn’t get a free pass just because someone wasn’t in a crosswalk. I’m not saying that happened here, but investigations need to be able to consider that if they’re going to get a complete picture of what went wrong.
