Accident Report

August 2, 2026, one person was killed as the result of a car versus pedestrian accident at 12:30 a.m. along I-35.

Preliminary information released by Austin Police officials says that the collision happened along northbound lanes of the interstate just north of Anderson Lane, near Rutherford Lane.

According to current reports, an unidentified pedestrian was in the area of northbound I-35. While there, a vehicle struck that pedestrian, fatally injuring them.

The driver reportedly remained at the scene. The cause of the accident remains unconfirmed.
