How Did This Accident Occur?

When it comes to pedestrians hit by vehicles on the interstate, there aren’t many situations where a driver can reasonably avoid the person in the road—especially if it’s getting dark out. But that doesn’t automatically mean the pedestrian is at fault, either.

While this could be someone trying to cross the road or being somewhere they shouldn’t be, there could be extenuating circumstances to consider. A medical condition, alcohol, drugs, some other kind of emergency, a driver swerving onto the shoulder suddenly, etc. It’s important authorities keepan open mind and focus on letting the evidence tell the story. Otherwise, something important might slip through the cracks.
