Man Injured in Car Accident on Hempstead Highway in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — October 3, 2025, a man was injured as the result of a car accident that occurred around 10:09 p.m. along Hempstead Highway.

Authorities said in their initial statements that the accident happened in the area of the Hempstead Highway and Dacoma Street intersection.

Investigators said that a 65-year-old man was on foot at the time and walking in the area of Hempstead Highway. While doing so, a Toyota Corolla was going along the roadway when it struck the pedestrian. As a result, the victim was seriously injured.

Authorities say the driver left the accident scene, but details suggest they might know some information about that driver. Additional details remain unconfirmed.

I’m hoping authorities have good leads here, and maybe they’ve even already resolved all of this behind the scenes. However, if they haven’t identified or otherwise apprehended the driver here, it might help to put out more information to the public. Someone might be able to connect dots authorities couldn’t, that way there can be some accountability here. Even weeks or months after an accident like this, keeping up the pressure can yield positive results.
