How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of people think pedestrian accidents always come down to who had the right-of-way. As important as that is, there could be more to the story. For example, I rarely see authorities consider road design and maintenance as a factor in these situations. However, things like missing signage, mistimed lights, worn road markings, and other issues could lead to pedestrians and drivers unnecessarily crossing paths. Maybe that isn’t what happened here, but have investigators looked into it at least? If not, that’s something victims and families might want to see change.
