Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

In my experience, pedestrian accidents too often are swept aside as “low priority” accidents. I’ve seen too many examples of authorities jumping to conclusions or moving on too quickly without a proper accident reconstruction because their department had other things to focus on. At the end of the day, a victim’s loved ones deserve answers. That doesn’t come with quick glances at an accident scene. That comes with careful investigation all possible factors surrounding an accident—even uncommon ones like vehicle defects or road design issues. Did that happen here, or is there more to this story not getting the attention it needs?
