How Did This Accident Occur?

People generally assume these situations just come down to someone failing to yield. Frankly, that’s often true, but it’s not the only possible factor that matters. Things like visibility, road design, lighting and signage, alcohol, distraction, possible medical conditions, and other potential factors also need to be confirmed or ruled out through careful investigation. Otherwise, serious issues might slip through the cracks, which only makes it more challenging to properly resolve these situations. Hopefully authorities handling this accident approached the investigations with that understanding. However, if they treated the accident as a low priority, there may still be more to this story.
