Abilene, TX — September, 19th 2024, One person was seriously injured following a pedestrian accident around 6:45 A.M. on I-20.
According to official reports, an 18-wheeler driver was pulled over onto the shoulder of Interstate 20 near Fulwiler Road to check the rear of his trailer when he was struck from the rear by a vehicle. The initial impacts threw the man onto the main lanes of I-20, where he was then struck by a second vehicle.
Neither of the two vehicles that struck the man stopped to render aid, and when first responders arrived on scene they found he had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital.
Information on the two drivers, including make and models, are not known at this time. The identity of the injured man has also been released, however we do know that he is from Breckenridge, TX.
