Wayne County, IN — February 1, 2026, one person was injured following an 18-wheeler versus pedestrian accident at around 4:27 p.m. on US 35.
According to initial statements about the accident, it happened along US 35 on the overpass over I-70.
It appears that a pedestrian was on the overpass at the time. As a semi-trailer was passing, the trailer apparently hit the pedestrian. This resulted in injuries.
Right now, the accident remains under investigation.
