Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People might be quick to write this off considering the weather at the time of the accident. In my experience, though, it’s rarely the weather that causes an accident. Rather, it’s usually people’s behavior in that weather that leads to people getting hurt. So hopefully investigations were thorough to consider all the contributing factors here rather than chalking everything up to the snow. Especially in a state like Massachusetts, winter weather should be far down the list of concerns investigators would want to look more closely at.
