Brooklyn, NY — January 5, 2024, Patrick Donovan was killed in a truck accident at approximately 12:20 in the morning along Florence Avenue.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the vicinity of the Florence Avenue and Gerritsen Avenue intersection.
A garbage truck was allegedly in the middle of making a U-turn when a Mercedes which had been reportedly traveling at high speeds collided with it. 42-year-old Patrick Donovan—who had been traveling in the Mercedes—incurred critical injuries as a result of the crash; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries, having since been declared deceased. No other injuries have been reported.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area were not specifically reported on; however, photographs taken of the scene which have been published in the news depict apparently clear skies and dry roads.
