With hit-and-runs, one of the best things authorities can do is keep details in the public eye. Often, someone is able to connect the dots where authorities can’t, helping lead to a suspect. Once that happens, steps can be taken to see there’s accountability for them leaving the scene as well as for any mistakes surrounding the accident itself. If that has yet to happen already, it’s not too late to bring in fresh eyes on the details in hopes something new comes to light.
