Rockwall, TX — June 10, 2024, Patricia Olivas was killed and another person was injured in a car accident just before 4:00 p.m. on the I.H. 30 service road.

According to authorities, 58-year-old Patricia Olivas was traveling in an eastbound Dodge Charger on the I.H. 30 service road at the John King Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision took place in the intersection between the left side of the Charger and the front-end of a southbound Acura occupied by a 16-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy on John King. The collision caused the Acura to overturn, coming to rest in the center median on its right side. The Charger was forced to the right, crossing over the center median and crashing into two other vehicles which had been at a stop for the stop light facing northbound on John King Boulevard.

It is unclear, at this time, which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the accident. Olivas incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. The 16-year-old from the Acura suffered minor, injuries, as well, according to reports. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point. The investigation is currently ongoing.
