Dallas, TX — December 23, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident shortly after 3:30 p.m. along Walnut Hill Lane.
According to reports, a 26-year-old woman was traveling in an eastbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on Walnut Hill Lane in the vicinity just west of the Executive Circle intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unconfirmed reasons, the pickup truck—which had been traveling at allegedly high speeds—collided with the back end of a firetruck which has been retrofitted for novelty rides, accommodating passengers in what was once the cargo area of the truck. The 26-year-old purportedly fled the scene but was apprehended soon after. She had sustained suspected serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision; she was taken to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
The weather and road conditions in the area were reported to have been cloudy and wet. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is ongoing.
