Houston, TX — October 6, 2024, a woman was injured following a car accident off an overpass along Eastex Freeway at around 9:00 p.m.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened off southbound lanes of I-69 in the area of Laura Koppe Road.

It appears that a woman was in a vehicle when the vehicle somehow broke down. The woman pulled the vehicle over and reportedly turned on the hazard lights. While there, however, officials say another vehicle hit the woman while she was outside of her car, causing the woman to be thrown over the retaining wall. She fell, suffering injuries which reportedly left her in critical condition. There were no other reported injuries.

Details about the other driver involved in the accident were not provided. Did they stay at the scene? And if so, why weren’t the able to avoid the victim? Did they not move over when they saw the emergency lights? Was the victim in an unexpected place? Were there issues with visibility at the time? Was intoxication a factor here? Authorities haven’t really let on what steps they’ve taken to answer important questions here, so I have to wonder if this collision is really getting the attention it deserves.
