UPDATE (February 5, 2024): The victim who was injures as a result of tthis accident has been identified as 41-year-old Oscar Antonio Moran, of Lufkin.
Lufkin, TX — December 24, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident just after 12:30 in the morning along Lufkin Avenue.
According to reports, a 31-year-old man was traveling in an eastbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck in the outside of two lanes on Lufkin Avenue in the vicinity east of Renfro Drive when the accident took place.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly rainy and wet. Officials indicate that the pickup truck collided with the passenger side of a Honda accord which had allegedly been disabled facing south with its lights off in the right lane of the road.
The 41-year-old man who had been the sole occupant of the Honda incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the collision; he was taken to a local medical center by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
