How Did This Accident Occur?
It’s not clear at this point why these two vehicles collided. Did one vehicle leave its lane because the driver was distracted or fatigued? Did one swerve to avoid another vehicle or an object in the road? Did one have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? A full investigation should address all of these potential causes to determine what happened on State Highway 25.
Vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and any available video footage will help authorities reconstruct this accident, while cell phone records could show if either driver was texting or interacting with an app at the time.
If investigators suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash, a qualified expert should examine both vehicles before they are scrapped or repaired. Most law enforcement agencies do not have the time or training for such inspections, but the Ford driver’s family deserves to know as much as possible about this accident.
