Accident Report

Dekalb County, MO — September 8, 2026, one person was killed and another person was injured in a truck accident at about 11:20 a.m. on U.S. Route 36 near Osborn.

Authorities said a 2025 Jeep Compass allegedly ran a stop while heading south of State Route 33 and collided with an eastbound 2024 Kenworth semi-truck.

The Jeep driver, a 68-year-old Stewartville man, died after being transported to a nearby hospital, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.

The truck driver, a 71-year-old man from Webster City, IA, was seriously injured in the crash, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Dekalb County crash at this time.
