Escambia County, FL — September 21, 2026, one person was killed in a log truck accident at about 3:45 p.m. on Century Boulevard/U.S. Route 29 near Molino.

Authorities said a log truck was heading north when it crossed the median near North Barth Road and collided with a southbound pickup before leaving the road and overturning after hitting a utility pole.

The log truck driver, a 66-year-old Milton man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.

The pickup driver, a 78-year-old Pensacola man, was not injured, authorities said.
