Accident Report
Callaway County, MO — April 15, 2026, one person was killed in a truck accident just before noon on U.S. Route 54 north of Auxvasse.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a southbound 1998 Freightliner semi-truck collided with a 2008 Ford Fusion that was heading east on County Road 2002, causing the smaller vehicle to overturn after it went off the right side of the road. The truck went off the left side of the road and its trailer detached.
The Ford driver, a 91-year-old Fulton man whose name has not been made public yet, died after being transported to an area hospital, according to the report. The 67-year-old Auxvasse man riding with him suffered moderate injuries.
The truck driver was not injured, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Callaway County crash at this time.
