Accident Report

York County, PA — February 3, 2026, one person was killed in a truck accident at about 4:50 a.m. on Interstate 83 near the Pennsylvania Welcome Center.

Authorities said a southbound semi-truck and SUV collided near the Windy Hill Road overpass east of New Freedom.

The SUV driver, a man whose name has not been made public yet, died after being flown to a nearby hospital, according to authorities.

No other injuries were reported, but the interstate was closed in both directions for several hours after the crash.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the York County crash at this time.
