Milton Township, OH — May 21, 2026, one person was killed in a truck accident at about 1:30 p.m. on westbound Interstate 76.
Authorities said a Freightliner semi-truck collided with a dump truck that had slowed down for traffic near mile marker 52. The collision caused the semi to catch fire, while the dump truck was forced onto the shoulder.
The Freightliner driver, whose name has not been made public yet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
The dump truck driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, authorities said.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Mahoning County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
