Accident Report
Chambers County, TX — March 19, 2026, Martin Maneau was killed and Prunella Maneau and Corey Campbell were injured in a truck accident at about 7:45 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Hankamer.
Authorities said a semi-truck with a 2024 Peterbilt tanker trailer overturned in an accident involving 10 other eastbound other vehicles that shut down the interstate in both directions near mile marker 813.
One person, 75-year-old Louisiana resident Martin Maneau, died from injuries suffered in the crash, while his passenger in a 2003 Ford Explorer, 76-year-old Prunella Maneau, and 2021 Toyota Corolla driver Corey Campbell, 41, were critically injured, according to authorities. Seven others suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The Peterbilt driver was not injured, according to a preliminary accident report.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Chambers County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
