How Did This Accident Occur?

Initial reports about this crash don’t indicate which vehicle had the right of way at this Bismarck intersection, so a full investigation is needed to sort out how this collision happened. That is always preferable to rushing to hasty conclusions about an accident, in my experience.

Investigators will gather the facts needed to piece together this crash by poring over witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show if one of the drivers was distracted at the time of the crash.

An outside expert may be needed if authorities suspect a mechanical defect contributed to this accident. Most law enforcement agencies aren’t capable of examining vehicles in a laboratory setting, but the driver’s family deserves to know exactly what happened at this intersection.
