Elk Grove, CA — August 26, 2026, one person was killed in a tractor accident at about 5:40 a.m. in the 8200 block of Kammerer Road.

Authorities said an eastbound Tesla sedan caught fire after crashing into the back of a tractor hauling grapes just east of Lent Ranch Parkway.

The Tesla driver, a woman whose name has not been made public yet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

The tractor driver was not injured, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Sacramento County crash at this time.
