Woodstock, GA — August 25, 2026, one person was killed in a school bus accident just before 7 a.m. at Main Street and State Highway 92.

Authorities said a northbound vehicle crashed into the back of a school bus stopped at the intersection.

The vehicle driver, a 79-year-old Marietta man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.

Two students on the school bus, which was transporting students to Woodstock Elementary School, suffered minor injuries in the crash, authorities said. One was released to a parent, while the other was taken to a local hospital.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Cherokee County crash at this time.
