Accident Report

Travis County, TX — July 28, 2026, one person was killed in a motorcycle accident at about 5:10 a.m. on Pickle Parkway/State Highway 130.

Authorities said a Suzuki motorcycle was heading north near Decker Lake Road when it crashed after its rear tire blew out.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been made public yet, subsequently was hit by an SUV and a Tesla in Autopilot mode, according to authorities.

The SUV driver, who initially drove away after hitting the motorcyclist, has been charged with failure to stop and render aid, authorities said, while the Tesla driver said the vehicle’s sensors did not detect the motorcyclist in the road.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene of the Austin area crash, according to authorities.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Travis County crash at this time.
