How Did This Accident Occur?

Details are sparse at this time, so it’s natural for people to speculate about what happened. Did the car hit one or both motorcycles from behind? Did it crash into them at the intersection? Did the motorcycles pull out in front of the car?

Experience has taught me that the best way to answer these questions is with facts, not guesses or assumptions.

A thorough investigation should figure out how this crash happened by scrutinizing witness statements and available camera footage, evidence from the scene and data from the vehicles involved. An independent expert may be needed to assess whether the vehicles were operating as expected, since police often lack the time or training for such inspections.
