Accident Report

Wexford County, MI — August 26, 2026, one person was killed in a box truck accident at about 1:50 p.m. on State Route 115 south of Cadillac.

Authorities said a box truck was heading west when it was struck by a Hyundai Santa Fe that was going north on South 47 Road. The impact caused the truck to overturn in the eastbound lanes before being hit by a pickup.

The box truck driver, a 36-year-old Inkster man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Clam Lake Township crash, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.

The Hyundai driver, a 19-year-old LeRoy woman, and the pickup driver, a 58-year-old Troy man, suffered minor injuries in the crash, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Wexford County crash at this time.
