How Did This Accident Occur?
Initial reports indicate this Ram pickup caused this crash by moving into the oncoming lane, but what if it didn’t? Investigators must approach this crash with an open mind to get to the truth of what happened on State Highway 121.
Authorities will look at physical evidence, witness statements, vehicle data and any available video footage as they work to reconstruct this accident, while cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time.
If investigators suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this crash, a qualified expert should examine the vehicles in a laboratory setting. Most law enforcement agencies do have the time or training for such inspections, in my experience, but those affected by this crash deserve to know as much as possible about what caused it.
