How Did This Accident Occur?
Initial reports on this crash indicate only one vehicle involved, but what if another vehicle caused the crash? What if the vehicle that crashed had a problem with its brake or steering mechanism? I expect authorities to consider these possibilities in their investigation, or the driver’s family may seek independent investigators to get to the bottom of what happened on this stretch of Pickle Parkway.
Evidence from the scene, witness statements, data from the vehicle’s engine control module and any available video footage should allow investigators to construct this accident, although an independent expert may be needed if there is any indication that a mechanical issue contributed to the crash. In my experience, most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or expertise for forensic examinations.
