How Did This Accident Occur?

At this point, we don’t know much about this crash, but most people probably would assume the driver was distracted or fatigued, given the time of this accident. That may prove to be the case, but authorities should piece together what happened on Ed Bluestein Boulevard using facts and evidence, not assumption or guesswork.

Investigators will work to reconstruct this accident by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage. Cell phone records could show what the driver was doing at the time, but a qualified expert should examine the vehicle in a laboratory setting if authorities suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this crash. That inspection also should include a thorough look at the car’s tires so determine if they were worn, damaged or defective at the time.

This investigation should give the driver’s family a clear picture of what caused this accident.
