How Did This Accident Occur?

We don’t know much about this crash, meaning there are plenty of questions to be addressed by investigators. Was the driver distracted or fatigued? Did the vehicle blow a tire? Did it have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism?

Authorities must consider these questions as they work to reconstruct this accident. The answers will come from physical evidence, witness statements, cell phone records, data from the vehicle and any available video of the crash.

An independent expert likely will have to examine the vehicle if investigators suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this accident, since in my experience most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for such examinations.
