A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck was heading the wrong way on westbound I-44 southeast of Halltown when it collided with a 2022 Lexus ES.
The Lexus driver, a 25-year-old man from Belleville, MI, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. His name has not been made public yet.
