How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities have not provided us with much information about this accident, so I hope this is a case of police not sharing what they know with reporters, rather than the investigators being stumped.
Speaking of those investigators, given how I make my living, I know they have a lot on their plate. They have to figure out why this crash happened. What was going on in the cab of the vehicles prior to the crash? Is there in-cab video? GPS data? Cell phone records? Beyond that, what does the engine control module data say was happening in the trucks prior to the crash? That’s often an important piece of the puzzle.
Hopefully, someone, whether it’s the authorities or an independent investigation, are in the process of answering these questions.
