Portland, ME — June 19, 2026, one person was injured in a truck accident just after 9 a.m. on northbound Route 1/Interstate 295.
Authorities said a commercial vehicle collided with a 2007 Ford pickup as traffic stopped suddenly near Forest Avenue. The truck’s loading bed went through the passenger side of the pickup.
The man who had been in the pickup’s passenger seat was hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Cumberland County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
