Platte Woods, MO — July 10, 2026, a Parkville man was injured in a truck accident at about 5:10 a.m. on Interstate 29/U.S. Highway 71.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a stopped 2016 Freightliner semi-truck was partially blocking the right lane when its trailer was struck by a northbound 2015 Land Rover.

The Land Rover driver, a 49-year-old Parkville man, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. His name has not been made public yet.
