Accident Report
Clark County, NV — June 11, 2026, one person was injured in a truck accident at about 2:10 a.m. on Interstate 15/Las Vegas Freeway.
Authorities said a northbound semi-truck drove through the median near mile marker 107 and crashed head-on with another semi-truck.
One of the drivers was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after the crash west of Mesquite, according to authorities.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Clark County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
It is not clear at this time why the northbound truck crossed the median. Maybe the driver was distracted or fatigued? Maybe another vehicle forced the truck off the road. Or maybe the truck had an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism. The best way to figure out what happened on I-15, in my experience, is to wait until the investigation is completed.
Authorities likely will scrutinize physical evidence, witness statements, data from the trucks and any available video footage. Cell phone records could indicate what the driver was doing at the time, while his driver log could show if he had exceeded his allowable driving hours for the day. The truck’s maintenance logs will show if it was overdue for any repairs.
If investigators suspect a mechanical problem contributed to the crash, a qualified expert should conduct a forensic examination on the trucks before they are scrapped or repaired. Most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for such inspections, but the injured driver’s family deserves to know as much as possible about what caused this crash.
