How Did This Accident Occur?
Initial reports on this crash don’t really make it clear what happened. Was the van behind the truck that was turning, or coming from the opposite direction? Was the truck’s trailer properly lit so it could be seen by other vehicles? Did the trailer swing out of its lane during the turn?
Police likely will answer these questions during the course of their investigation, but I’ve seen enough official investigations that leave unanswered questions to know that sometimes a fresh set of eyes is needed. Do you think that is the right approach?
